ELOMA AND RUNGIS EXPRESS – THE DREAM TEAM OF THE SOPHISTICATED KITCHEN
What is the secret of a good partnership? Just like in private life, a partner in the business world needs to be carefully chosen. Or sometimes it’s just love at first sight. The latter certainly applies to the cooperation between RUNGIS express and Eloma.
Both companies have an exceptionally high expectation of their own performance, so they cooperate at equal terms. Saskia Smeets, responsible for Product Management and Marketing at Eloma, puts it in a nutshell: “Eloma and RUNGIS express have sustainability and the highest quality of their products in common”. By achieving this goal, both companies are ready to go the extra mile. Eloma as one of the leading manufacturers of combi steamers and baking ovens for the professional sector with their focus on previously mentioned core values do not lose sight of long lasting relationship – in short, it is about so much more than just product profit orientation. The customer is not being persuaded to buy, but convinced and enthusiastic. This customer-centric perspective and the top quality of the equipment were the key factors in RUNGIS express’s choice of partner.
And finally, how did the collaboration come about? “It started with an existing contact”, Smeets remembers. “RUNGIS express had asked me if they could get a combi steamer for their development and show kitchen. Since we did not just want to provide a combi steamer, we decided on joint activities that resulted in a strategic partnership for both of us.” Initially, the MULTIMAX was up for discussion, but after careful consideration, the two companies chose the GENIUS MT, which was finally installed in the RUNGIS express development and show kitchen. The reason: with this unit the cooperation partners can integrate recipes of the Mise-en-Place products offered in addition to the fresh top produce of RUNGIS express and thus offer further added value for customers: Time savings, high quality and process reliability.
Crucial to the Mise-en-Place products is that they are prepared in top quality to a certain degree and are then freshly delivered to the customer, so that the chef can give his finishing touches with individual creativity. The MT technology is particularly suitable for this. After all, features such as Last® 20, Multi Cooking and Quick Mode, as well as previously developed and stored programs, enable a high level of automation and thus process reliability, so as to guarantee outstanding results.
Later, the JOKER MT mobile edition was added to the GENIUS MT, which is used at events such as CHEFDAYS or “Chef of the Year”. A rosy future? Saskia Smeets has no doubt about it: “RUNGIS express is very close to the gastronomy. Eloma, in turn, has a dense network of dealers and service partners. If we address different end customers together, we can certainly create more synergies and exploit many more exciting opportunities.”
